From Wong Kan Seng. "The point is that it’s not whether the population size should be 5.9 or 6.9. It is about how we keep our economy growing at a sustainable rate, create better jobs for Singaporeans and provide care and support for elders." So would it be logical if I retort so? My thoughts are that since the population size doesn't matter. Why don't you just plan and try to map out policies that will aim towards a thriving economy with our present populace or with 5.9 million? If it isn't possible, then just say so and show how the policies factoring in a 6.9 million population will work. Lots of other illogical statements by various supporters of the White Paper. For example, MP Khaw Boon Wan's claim that he will not build HDB flats without foreigners. Cannot apparently is interchangeable with will not. Or is that a threat?
